Serving Putnam County, Westchester County, Rockland County, and The Bronx

our service areas

We serve Putnam County, Westchester County, Rockland County, and The Bronx with the same reliable service. Our knowledge of Peekskill’s mix of Victorian-era homes and newer construction helps us diagnose problems faster. Different property types require different approaches, and we understand what each building era brings.

Local plumbing code requirements guide every installation and repair we complete. Experience with older cast iron and clay sewer lines common in this area means we know what to expect before we start work. These materials behave differently than modern PVC and require specific repair techniques.

Winter freeze protection needs for the Hudson Valley region are critical knowledge. We help property owners prepare before temperatures drop and respond quickly when pipes freeze despite precautions. The most common emergency we handle is burst pipes during January and February cold snaps.

Customers often ask us questions like “Why does my basement smell like sewage after heavy rain?” The answer usually involves a compromised sewer line that lets groundwater in during storms. Another frequent question is “Can you fix my sewer line without ripping up my driveway?” Trenchless repair makes this possible in most cases.

“How quickly can you get here if my pipe bursts at night?” is a question we take seriously. Emergency response time matters when water is actively flooding your property. We prioritize these calls and dispatch immediately regardless of the hour.

Downtown historic district properties face different plumbing challenges than hillside homes. Older downtown buildings have complex pipe layouts and limited access. Hillside properties deal with grade changes that affect drainage and sewer flow. We adjust our approach based on your property’s specific situation.

I had that nightmare scenario – the water heater blew on Saturday morning during memorial day weekend.

Mike really was a hero. He took care of everything from walking me through which model to buy as a replacement, then went to Lowe's to pick it up, removed the old one, installed the new one, and just like that we were better than new. And there was no holiday or weekend upcharge.

A+ service from an A+ dude and an A+ local company.

I had a great experience with Sewer Heroes. I live in the Bronx (on a hill) and needed a new sewer line installed. I called every Master Plumber in NYC and LI and could not find anyone who would take the job. Insert Sewer Heroes.

Not only did they take they take the job but they delivered the best service I could have asked for. The team was professional and did minimal demo. I was sure this job would take at least a week and they managed to finish up in 2 days.

I was truly impressed by the teams workmanship and skill. Thank you to Mike, Manny and the rest of the Sewer Heroes team. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing services (especially a sewer line install) in NYC or Westchester.

We just had our main sewer pipe lined and replaced all our basement sewer pipes due to a clog in a sewer line. Mike came out and did a video assessment and determined what needed to be done immediately and what could wait. He was so knowledgeable and took time to clearly explain the problem (very old disintegrating pipes) and the repair process. His crew was great. They were on time, incredibly hard working and left everything as clean as possible when they were done. What could have been a very stressful repair went very smoothly and now I don’t have to worry about my sewage lines for a very long time! I definitely recommend them if you are having problems.

Had a drainage emergency and called Sewer Heroes as they came recommended by my regular plumber. They answered the call and were able to come within a couple hours, in the snow! From the beginning, until the end they were professional and courteous, taking care of the work they were doing in my home. They determined, after they attempted to water jet the line out to the street, that I had a bigger issue than what was anticipated. If any of you have heard of Orangeburg Pipe, I suggest you do some research and potentially look into one of the two options I was presented with: 1. Total excavation and replacement. 2. Trenchless lining the existing line. I opted for the trenchless lining as it was the most cost effective option given the season. The technician, Mike and his partner explained the process in great detail. Moreover, they took their time in explaining the process and pros/cons. No pressure and never felt rushed. He provided me all the options and walked me through the entire process so that I could make a more educated decision. Mikes knowledge and experience with the lining process was extremely helpful.

Of course, a follow up review will be written upon completion of the job. Stay tuned…
Thank you Mike for your help today!

There’s no other plumbing company I would trust more in Brewster than Sewer Heroes. They came to clear out the drain and get our sewer unclogged so it would stop flooding our basement within 1 hour of calling them. After the line was cleared they camera inspected the sewer to show all the issues since it was an older home. Lots of roots! We ended up doing a pipe lining to solve the issue for good. Thankfully Dennis and the team were so good at handling everything like pros. They really took care of my home!

Took care of the issue and did a pipe lining to restore the pipes and give them a new life. Very impressed dealing with Mike and Dennis on the team. The pricing for the work was great and they provided a lot of value. Truly appreciate you guys thank you!

Sewer Heroes did an excellent job for us. We have two older buildings where the clay pipes had collapsed. Sewer Heroes were able to line the clay pipes, which resolved the issue of water seepage into the basements. They arrived when they promised, worked diligently, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. When the work was finished, everything looked even better than when they started and best of all the No water in the basement!!

Have Questions? Give Us a Call

What do I do if a pipe bursts in the middle of the night?

Response

Shut off your main water valve immediately to stop the flow. Call a 24/7 emergency plumber right away while water is still spreading. Move valuables and furniture away from the water if you can do so safely. Document the damage with photos for your insurance claim

Can you come to my neighborhood?

Response

Our coverage includes Putnam County, Westchester County, Rockland County, and The Bronx. Response times vary based on your location and current service calls. Emergency calls receive priority dispatch regardless of where you’re located in our service area

How fast should I act on a plumbing problem?

Response

Active leaks require immediate action to prevent water damage from spreading. Sewage backups are urgent situations that create health risks for your family. Slow drains should be addressed within days before they turn into complete blockages. No hot water isn’t an emergency but makes life uncomfortable. Frozen pipes need fast attention before they burst and flood your home.

How do I know if I need to replace my sewer line or just repair it?

Response

A camera inspection shows us the extent of damage inside your pipes. Small cracks or localized root intrusion can often be repaired with trenchless methods. Multiple breaks, severe corrosion, or collapsed sections usually require full replacement. We show you the video footage and explain your options based on what we find

Should I worry about my old galvanized pipes?

Response

Galvanized pipes common in older Peekskill homes rust from the inside over 40 to 60 years. Low water pressure, brown water, and frequent leaks signal it’s time to replace them. Waiting until they fail causes water damage and emergency repairs. A plumbing inspection tells you how much life your pipes have left

What plumbing maintenance should I do before winter?

Response

Disconnect and drain outdoor hoses before the first freeze. Insulate exposed pipes in crawl spaces, attics, and exterior walls. Know where your main water shutoff is and make sure it works. Keep cabinet doors open during extreme cold so warm air reaches pipes under sinks. These simple steps prevent most winter pipe bursts.
